That is a MASSIVE HCG increase in 72 hours (3 days, right? Sheesh either way it is huge)! I would be suspicious of multiples in that case. The bleeding isn't necessarily a problem as it is likely normal implantation, especially when your HCG is going up that much. I would request an early u/s at 6-7 weeks to see what you're working with there. GL!

yeah i think its a possibility it could be twins too, iv heard of alot of women spotting while pregnant with twins. i hope it all works out for sorry im not more help, good luck xx

Did you ask about Molar pregnancy. I only ask as your numbers because of what they're leaped to and your bleeding. The odds of this though are 1 in 1000. But it may be worth asking about.
Apart from that I would think that your numbers are increasing and no clothing things may be fine. Light bleeding can be very common in early pregnancy. You'll know a lot more in a few days. They should of seen a gestational sac at 5weeks did they give you any info from the scan or were you earlier than that when u had it. Wishing you all the best keep us posted. Hugs and prayers. X

Thank you all for getting back to me, this is all very helpful. I had a scan a week ago but they said that it was too early although they could see a sac. They put me at about 4 /5 weeks then. I will have another scan on Friday and check my blood levels again tomorrow. A molar pregnancy is a possibility and I am waiting to hear back from my OBGYN who is away at the moment.

I have just had another HCG 48 hours later and it has gone up again but not by much to 16998 - so still rising, but not so fast. The bleeding is getting a little heavier now but still no cramps or clots. Scan on Friday and HCG again on Friday
