Question

Positive OPK on CD 9???

I finished my 3rd round of Clomid yesterday (CD 8) and as usual I started taking OPK's today, even though I expect negatives for several days, I just want to make sure all my bases are covered. Anyways, I was very surprised when the OPK that I took today (CD 9) was positive! The last 2 cycles I ovulated on CD 20 and CD 18 so this would be much earlier. Also, this past cycle I had a chemical pregnancy, so could that effect the OPK? We will be BDing this weekend just in case but after the CP everything questionable makes me nervous! Does anyone have any wisdom on this?

I would call that a false surge. U shouldnt trust any results if u start testing before 3 days after the last pill. Definitely keep testing!! I would bet my house that u arent O'ing this close to ur last pill. And no, ur chemical wouldnt affect the results of the opk, thats clomid doing that.
Best of luck! =))

Yep I was gonna write that Clomid can give fake positive OPKs before about CD 11 or so :)

Oh ur temping? Even better!! There's nothing worse than wondering if an egg actually released with a surge or not. I think thats why some women are missing their window altogether.
