What does "Tools" mean in the pregnancy test gallery?

I've been trying to figure out what people mean when they write "tools" in the explanation part of the pregnancy gallery. I tried google searching but couldn't figure it out. What does it mean?

The "tools" are the invert, greyscale and lighten buttons below the pictures. If someone writes "tools" they probably just wanted to check their pic with those buttons or encourage others to use them before voting.
