Question

PCOS diagnosis...Now what??

Was diagnosed yesterday with PCOS as well as having a huge corpus liteum cyst on my right ovary after taking Clomid for the last 3 months. My new RE wants to try me on letrozole with IUI after cyst reduces.

Just wondering if anyone with PCOS took this route and had success?
Anyone not have success and if so what was the next step you took?
Any find that letrozole worked better than clomid in terms of side effects?

I was diagnosed with pcos 3 years ago. Had two miscarriages since then conceiving with clomid. I am 5 weeks pregnant now and took clomid 150, estradiol, and now progesterone until 2nd trimester to sustain pregnancy. This pregnancy has been way different than the first two and praying for our sweet bean to stick. Good luck to you!

Hi
I have been diagnosed with PCOS for 5 yrs. I've been on metformin for 3. We tried for over a year with just natural and met but no luck (anovulatory). Ob wanted to put me on clomid but the research I did said letrozole was much better with symptoms and for PCOSers. I'm on second cycle. The first I did O but hubby wasnt home for the best fertile days. I'm currently on cycle 2. Fingers crossed!!! I think u will have good luck with the letrozole!!
