Why must it always be this difficult?

Dh and I are ttc again after a May loss. This is our first month. According to my fertility app, af should arrive tomorrow, but I'd predict closer to the 11th. Signs for pregnancy had been looking perfect until yesterday when light beige spotting quickly turned pink then red. I was hopeful for fresh IB until the bleeding seemed too red to call IB, so I officially logged it as the start of af. I was feeling disappointed and confused given my most tell tale sign of a darkened linea nigra (it's indistinguishable when I'm not pg). It's still darkened. I'm still pretty wickedly nauseous with vomiting. The bleeding MAY be slowing down. So far, it's been red, but too light for even a liner. I do have a concern that low progesterone may be an issue and wonder if it was a factor in my loss as it's the only pregnancy where I'd ever experienced bleeding. I've been under enormous stress for quite awhile, which could be a culprit for low prog. Am I delusional to hold out hope for a bfp this cycle?
