Low Beta?

Hello,

I got a bfp finally at 13dpo. That same day I went in for a beta. The night before it was bfn. The beta was only 8.8 which scared me. Today is 17 dpo and my beta is up to 54. I am still very very worried. Does this mean I implanted very late and my first beta was very very early? Going back to retest on Thursday. The line on the other hand on my Early Response test are getting darker every other day that I have been testing. So....has anyone ever dealt with this? I am so worried and so insecure about this whole thing.
