I'm 4 weeks pregnant today and i'm having too bad constipation, i dont wanna put too much pressure thats because i'm scared, i dont know if it can hurt my baby or not but i'm really scared to push it out :( sorry for TMI but its really weird condition,,,I'm drinking 8 glasses of water everyday, 2 big glasses of green smoothie which is high in fiber, i eat brown bread, i eat fruits and non fat milk oatmeal they say that everything i'm eating has alot of fiber but still i'm too constipated and i know its normal in pregnancy specially at this point but Is there anyone who experianced the same thing in pregnancy? and what did you guys do to kill constipation? There are so many things which you can not take during constipation while pregnant.
So, please reply me what is safe to take and how much amount i should take in pregnancy?

I took magnesium glycinate while ttc and for my entire pregnancy. Mag is the main ingredient in laxatives like milk of magnesia etc. It is a very abundant mineral in the human body and is aides in many processes, digestion being one of them. A deficiency in magnesium will cause constipation, and quite a few ppl are deficient in this mineral. It is 100% safe for ttc and pregnancy at doses of 400mg and below. It is also something that u take daily and with food (it can irritate the stomach). Do some reading on it, it can also help with morning sickness (in combination with B6) if u experience that in the coming weeks.
Dont worry about harming the baby while trying to pass a poop, u cant, but u can get urself some sexy hemmorhoids, so take care of this constipation sooner rather than later.
Best of luck and congrats!! =))

I highly recommend the use of food-grade diatomaceous earth (shell flour) from Earthworks Health. The powder is taken diluted in water. This product is all natural, will regulate your digestion, and is completely safe during pregnancy. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

Try drinking a glass of prune juice with your meals

You can take Miralax and Colace while pregnant, too, because they are stool softeners rather than stimulant laxatives. Congrats!
