How much are my chances reduced after ectopic pregnancy tube removal?
I'm just wondering what my chances of falling pregnant are now? I recently suffered a ruptured tube from an ectopic pregnancy. Was a total shock as I was fitted with a coil, a sad loss none the less. I desperately want another child but am confused how my fertility has been affected by this. Does anyone have any information?

I had my left tube removed in September 2012 after an ectopic.
I conceived my son, who is now 11 months old, during our first month of trying again after my op.
I am currently pregnant again, due March 2015
I kept a record, each month prior to trying, of my ovulation (using OPKs) and my period dates. This gave me a good idea of how my body was responding and carrying on after the loss of my tube.

I wish you the best of luck! You may have only one tube, but you're still in the game.

Yes, could take twice as long, though incredibly, some flexible tubes actually manage to catch the egg from the opposite ovary! How amazing is that? I have one blocked tube thanks to a hydrosalpinx, but I have other issues too, so my odds are reduced. Due to my age (35) and these known issues, IVF was the next step for us.
