TTC with an over active thyroid :(((
Hi ladies :)
me and my partner are on our 5th month of ttc our first child together. My husband has twins and my daughter is 5, both from previous relationships.
2 months ago I was diagnosed with over active thyroid, which isn't a surprise as both my mum and brother has this! Iv been trying to get the doctor to test me for this for the last year, and only 2 months did they, and guess what!! I do know my own body!!
Doctors advised that it would be difficult to fall pregnant whilst my t3 and t4 levels are so high! but have now put me on medication, but my consultant nor my Gp will give a straight answer as to whether it's safe to try for a baby... Which is rather frustrating? I'm on 100mg propylthiourcal a day and have been for one week now
Is anyone hyperthyroid and found they they have conceived now on medication? I'm 5dpo and strangely having cramps and nausea.. Which I'm guessing is far too early to be pregnancy related??
Would love to hear from you :))) xx

I'm on thyroid medicine but not on such a high dose. My doctor picked it up right away, and showed no concern that the medicine would affect my chances. I believe as long as you are in the desired target range that it's fine, of coarse I'm not a doctor so I would just straight up ask him. Since you are only 5dpo most people would say it's too early for symptoms, what your feeling is probably a hike in progesterone but every body is different so maybe you are feeling something!!!! Good luck
