It could be that you had a subchorionic hematoma that is bleeding out (that's how they resolve themselves). It's very common and almost never is it dangerous to the baby. Since the blood is old and brown it sounds like it's nothing more serious. :) Congrats on the pregnancy!

You're welcome! I am 8 weeks with my first and during my u/s the doc said I had a subchorionic hematoma. I haven't had any spotting or bleeding or anything, but the doc said I could in the future, and wasn't at all concerned. So I figure based on your doctor's reaction that is why s/he wasn't worried :)

I agree with the other ladies, but have you asked for an ultrasound just to put your mind completely at ease. Best of luck sweetie, don't worry. Old blood, no pain, doesn't sound worrying. x

Went for ultrasound yesterday. Everything is fine, the nugget is growing healthy and placenta is intact . barely any spotting yestrday and today and since it fell on a week I'd usually have my period doc said it could be that the body tried to have it without an egg. But thank goodness everything is fine :)
