From what I can gather you took a home semen analysis and the results aren't good? I would urge you to get another test from a local lab and see exactly what you might be dealing with. My DH had kinda bad numbers too but IUI has (finally) worked for us. There is plenty that can be done if you get more information. GL! :)

Yes we did the ept one it said he had a low count iv just ordered a new multivitamin for him and I'm hoping it will help and sense semen do not have a fast reproduction rate we will test again in a few months

My husband told me that drinking Mt. Dew makes a man's sperm count low. He wont touch that stuff. Does your husband drink it? Just had to put it out there :0) Hope you & your husband all the best at raising his count.

Yes it actually does but we have stop drinking soda and all energy drinks for that same reason :) no cell phone in frt pocket boxers not briefs etc :)

As the first poster said, I think you really need to get a SA done at the doctors. All those home tests tell you is whether it is above or below a certain amount, but doesn't look at the other issues such as motility and morphology. It also doesn't give a sense of what the numbers actually are (from my understanding of the tests). If he needs a referral he should be able to easily get one from his doctor - he just needs to call and talk to them. I suggest he gets a referral to a urologist and they can do the SA and if there are other issues they can work with them. Vitamins are a great step in the meantime, but if you don't know what you're dealing with it's hard to find the right treatment. It's also been three years of trying, so it might be good for him to go get checked out. Then you can really plan the next steps and figure out what needs to be done. If multivitamins are the answer, awesome. Maybe the doc can recommend some good ones. Best of luck to you.
