Question

Two positive faint line tests, one digital negative. Can I consider myself pregnant?

Hi everyone, I took a First Response EPT last night, and after resigning myself to the fact that I wasn't pregnant, I saw a faint line! (My husband saw it too.) I tested again this morning with the same kind of test, and saw another faint line after 3 minutes. I got really excited, so took the digital one that came in the same box....and got a NO. I heard digitals aren't as sensitive, but how often does this happen and when should I retest with another digital? I'm fresh off a Mirena IUD, so I'm not 100% sure when my period should start, but based off my OPK I'm thinking Friday or Saturday. Any insight would be great!

Hi shelliebeanhead,

Many congrats! A line is a line event it may be faint. First response is much more sensitive then Clear Blue digital. You are likely get false negative than positive with branded testers.

I had the exactly the same results as you: two faint positives with FR and negative with clear blue. I tested at 9DPO and I was indeed pregnant.

I wish you and the baby all the best ^_^

Thank you! I've tested the last two days with FR and the line gets a little darker each time. I'm planning on taking another digital tomorrow to verify. I'm 98% convinced now, but that digital positive would really seal the deal. :)
