Question

10 years now, is it time to give up?

Hi I'm new to this site.

Well so I have a wonderful 10 soon to be 11 year old son who is my world. But I always imagined having a large family. I had my son in dec 2003 and miscarried dec 2004. My husband and I have been trying ever since then. We started having investigations into our fertility back in 2006 but my husband did 2 seamen samples which came back he had zero count and zero motility. So we were told our only option was to use a sperm donor which we both didn't want to do.
Any way last year my husband decided to try again and handed another sample in. It came back his count and motility was absolutely normal. No body is sure why and when it changed.
So I'm now left devastated that I am the cause of no more babies. I sunk into depression about this and have only just decided I need to do something.
Have I left it too late now I'm 28 and my hubby is 31 now.
I just terrified I have left something too long and now there will be no way to help us conceive again.

28 is not too late, for heaven's sake! You aren't even 30 yet! I would strongly, STRONGLY recommend that you get yourself checked out by a fertility specialist. I am surprised you haven't yet, to be honest. It could be that it is something that is easily fixed with medication, or slightly less easily fixed with a procedure like an HSG. Definitely not even close to too late. GL!!

I agree with luvetowalkfast - you should see a fertility specialist.
Indeed, 28 isn't too late. I am 37 and I had my first DS last year when I was 36.
My husband and I are TTC for another baby. I recently miscarried at 9W2D and we are not losing hopeâ?¦

Wish you all the best and baby dust for you :)

Thank you all so much.
I suppose with having my son so young he makes me feel older haha.

I've been reading a lot on here and there is so many inspirational stories that have given me hope.
AF is due to visit tomorrow so I think that is what upset me so much when I wrote this. I'm going to visit gp on day 3/4 of my cycle as I read that they can take bloods then.

Thanks so much everyone for your kind and encouraging words.
I wish you all the luck in the world

In the UK they usually do the tests on Day 2, just had mine done again last week at Derby hospital. They can take them a couple of days later if you clash with the weekend but best get to your GP as soon as AF shows her ugly face!
Best of luck. X
