Conception after 40yrs of age and 'fixed'...chances are?
I am 40 yrs old, have four children from previous relationship, ranging in ages from 10-21. I am getting married in a week to a man who has no children, & I would love to give him one. However, my tubes were either tied or 'burned' back in '04. Does anyone know if it's possible to get a reverse procedure with them being burned, and if so, are the risk factors of a baby w/deformities too great to take the chance? Just wondering.....and dreaming.

memberA reproductive specialist will be able to give you the best answers here. But even if the procedure can be reversed your chances to become pregnant after age 40 are not that high. However, it does depend on the individual. I was blessed with 2 natural pregnancies after the age of 40. I encourage you to try and hope it will happen for you! Good luck and all the best.
