I am new to this site, as my daughter n law is trying to conceive, but I've been reading different things, and although I am 40, and have four children, as well as am now engaged to be married to a great guy who has no kids, and wants some, (unfortunately I am 'fixed'), but, from what I've read, I think the best days to conceive are on the last day of your period, as well as the few days following it. Specifically, if you want a boy, then it says something about intercourse on the fifth or sixth day following the end of your period. For a girl, the day of your last, or the two days following. Very interesting the new technology that were not available when I was getting pregnant. Explains why I had three boys, and my last was a girl (due to the fact I did not follow doctors orders of avoiding intercourse for at least six weeks after delivery, so my cervix was still open I'm guessing). It is possible. Sperm can live for up to 5 days in the female reproductive tract. If ovulation occurs within the sperms' lifespan you can become pregnant. All the best.

My mom says this is why my sister and I are only 18 months apart. She said only she bd two days after her period the month my sister was conceived.
