Ttc. Not sure if implantation or period.
I've been ttc for 18 months now and so far got pregnant once which ended in an ectopic pregnancy. We had a few months off and this month I used an ovulation kit. It turned out that I ovulated on cd 10 even though I'm usually very regular with a 28 day cycle, and when I've used kits in the past I've always ovulated on day 14. So we did the deed when it said I was ovulating, and now cd 25 I'm having a very light bleed. It's not very painful, not heavy and started yesterday with a small amount of spotting. I'm wondering if it could be implantation bleeding as my periods are the same every month. I spot for a day then heavy bleeding for 2 days and spotting for 2 more. It's all just been very different to every other month. Any advice welcome

If you ovulated early, then you will start your period early as it typically comes 12-16 days after you o.If you ovulated around CD 10 & are now on CD 25, then it is too late for implantation. Keep in mind that IB is pretty rare & most spotting/bleeding during your cycle is not implantation related. If your period is abnormal this month, I would definitely still test as a lot of women do have breakthrough bleeding during early pregnancy.

Also, something to keep in mind: if youre waiting on a position opk to bd, you may be missing the egg. Some women ovulate the same day they get a +. If that's the case, and you do not have sperm waiting on the egg, then you're probably going to be out that month. It takes time for sperm to travel & undergo the physical changes necessary for fertilization & the egg has a very short life span. You want to be bding in the days prior to the positive opk as well as the days afterwards. If you typically have short cycles, I would start bding on CD 8. Do it at least every other day from CD 8 to CD 20. That way you cover all your bases.
