Question

af after miscarriage too soon??

So I had a miscarriage blighted ovum 10wks. I used misoprostol and started bleeding July 18th. I bled for 9 days spotted for 3. 4 days of no bleeding. Then it came on light with some clots. the past 2 days have been about medium heavy not really any clots anymore. BUT isn't cd17 too soon after a miscarriage to start a period?? Plus I took an hpt yesterday and it was still positive...Did any of you start bleeding stop and start again?? The doctor I was seeing sent me home with the meds and told me not to make another appt. I called today to ask about the bleeding and hes no longer with this office!! The nurse made me an appt with another doc for Thurs.
I'm kind of anxious to know whats going on I'd like to ttc again and I've never had a natural miscarriage so I have no idea what to be expecting

Bleeding can stop and start up again. It's very common for your body to keep expelling the tissue as it processes what is happening. If you have a positive HPT, HCG is still in your system from the pregnancy. Typically, your HCG levels have to drop below 25 in order for your actual period to come on. It sounds like your body is doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Ask your new doctor for a blood test to monitor how your HCG levels are dropping. And for reference, my period was a week late after my miscarriage and D&C, although my loss was late in the pregnancy (13 weeks). Everyone is different, but it sounds like the process is going fairly smoothly. I'm sorry for your loss and hope there are better days ahead.
