Is an ectopic pregnancy ever mistaken for an ovarian cyst?
Hey all,
I'm 4 weeks along. I went to ER since my MD told me to go a week & a half ago for RLQ pain. I was getting negatives on urine tests at that point. They said I had mesenteric adenitis (swollen lymph nodes causing pain). I saw my Dr this week again since I found out I was pregnant and he told me they found a cyst on my right ovary and just didn't tell me. He sent me for HCG levels this week (1st was normal, waiting 2nd result) and ultrasound next week. He's just concerned I might be ectopic/tubal since it's still tender in my right lower abdomen/ovary. Has anyone had something similar happen but it was ACTUALLY just a cyst? I'm going a bit nutty with anxiety that it's ectopic. No bleeding.. and this is my first TTC - also have never had an IUD.

This actually happened to me just this pregnancy I was to early and they couldn't see the baby but they saw something on my ovaries so they assumed it was an ectopic I cried and prayed about it I waited a few more weeks and went and got a second opinion I'm now 11 weeks pregnant with a normal pregnancy it was only a cyst good luck
