Is it possible to ovulate late as day 17??? My cycles have been getting shorter.

My cycles have usually been 30 /31 days long.last 6 months they have gotten shorter,to 23 days. I recently got accupuncture done twice,today i did a hpt as i think i was 9dpo,also for the curious of me i did a ovulation test.it shiwed strongly i O !!!! Hopefully do a bd tonite. Is this sounding like i can have a 30 cycle now and O on day 17??? Any ans appreciated

Yes you can ovulate that late, I know because my Dr just told me last week

Ovulating on Day 17 with a 30 day cycle isn't bad :) you still have a 13 day Luteal Phase, I myself have a 31 Day Cycle now and sometimes ovulate as late as day 18 or 19, As long as your Luteal Phase is above ten days and pretty regular you should be fine :)
