Advice please ttc and af pains before af for three days with no bleeding?

I'm ttc and I'm around 10-12 dpo took a poundland cheapie this morn pretty sure it's bfn as they always have a faint line. I've been having bad cramping 2/3 days now but no bleeding , and exhaustion has hit me this afternoon . Obviously I want to be pregnant but if I was wouldn't my test this morn of been positive? And why am I cramping so bad for so long eith no period? Am starting to think something is wrong with me!! Af is due around thur or fri . Many thanks
