Not ovulating?
I've been testing for ovulation twice a day, every day, for two months. I haven't had a positive yet. Not even a faint line. My periods are irregular so it's hard for me to chart or try to track it. TMI- but I've had the discharge my doctor told me to look for and the test was stil negative.

Do u know what the tests measure? If they measure too high u may never get a line. They can range from 20-40+ miu. Also, when are u testing, how long is the hold before u test and how much liquid do u have beforehand? These things have a huge impact on results...esp if ur not even getting a line. Opk's arent for everyone tho, its all based on urine/hormone concentration and thats all dependant on kidney function. Consider tracking ur mucus and temps and try to get some lovin' in every other to every third day throughout ur cycle or until ur temps confirm ovulation. U'll get things figured out eventually, its just gonna take a bit more work with an irregular cycle. Not impossible tho!
Good luck! =))

I recommend you to track with blood tests and confirm with the hormone levels. I have experienced the same issue and it was a nightmare, my Gyno prescribed Clomid and my blood work proved my big 'O' yet I find the OPK result and saliva microscope result to be very confusing(I started off tracking with OPKs, saliva test only after confirming that I have ovulated for 2 continuous months). Thought my progesterone levels is above 20 each month, the pattern has not been very clear most of the days.
My suggestion is to approach a Gyno and start tracking with your blood work. D onot worry much about the OPK result without confirming ovulation for a couple of months.

Are your cycles also long, or just irregular? Especially if they are sometimes long, your best bet by far is tracking your basal body temperature. Its much less expensive than constant opk's, and should allow you to confirm ovulation with a temp shift. The downside is that it won't let you know ahead of time when to bd. But since you're already checking your cervical mucus, you'll already know your fertile when you see ewcm. I agree with dakotagurrl that opk's aren't going to work for everyone (you can get a positive opk and not o, or never get a positive opk and o!). And getting bloodwork done is only practical if you think you know when you o'd, which it doesn't sound like you do. I know how frustrating it can be (cd 62 and counting, here!), but temping every day at least lets you have some insight into what's going on with your body. If you're not o'ing and you confirm it with a temp chart, you can show that to your doctor and get some help sooner rather than later, too.
