It's impossible for us to tell whether you are ovulation or not, but if you only test for ovulation every other day you could very well have missed your surge. The surge is very short, and for many women it only lasts a few hours/half a day, so if that fell on one of your your non-testing days, you could have missed the whole thing. You really need to do the tests every single day, and sometimes twice a day, to be sure to catch the surge, otherwise it could just be a waste of money.

If you're having a period than ours probably ovulation. With u having such crazy cycles, you may have missed your O day by testing every other day! That O day window is so small 12-36 hours, so you cant play around. You need to test everyday and use the am urine!! Going to the doctor is always a good idea!!

Well, second urine of the day wen I tested and late in, afternoons 2 X's a day.. wen u get to cd 14 then start testing 2 times a, day . Maybe u should go get check out it won't hurt to. Are u tracking your cervical mucus some time that really helps ..

Mommyw4: yes as well as my bbt but it never spiked.
I was told that ovulation tests will show an LH surge like a day and half-2 data before you actually ovulate. I was told this by my doctor. Hence why I was testing every other day.

Mommyw4: I never know when that 14 day will be because my cycle is never the same. The last 14 days of my cycle are not reliable enough to test then. I just tested through the entire cycle.
