4 mature folicles .... would you proceed with IUI?
I had 8 total folicles, 4 of which where mature. My husband and I have being trying for almost 2 years and in the time I had three miscarries. I am newly 30 years old and really excited to start a family.
I had my trigger shot today at the RE's office and the IUI is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon. Would you proceed with the IUI knowing there's a chance of having multiples?
Thanks to those who respond =)

oh, tough question! My DH, Dr & I decided only to proceed with IUI if we have 2 or 3 follicles. So far we haven't had more than 1 so we haven't done iui. If I had 4, to be honest I'd probably still want to go ahead, knowing the chances of multiples is higher of course. I think it really depends on your personal situation. GL to you!

I just had my U/S on cd13 and had two follicles one on each ovary 26mm & 24mm so chance of more than one egg release I was told as I O on my own anyway but have been on clomid this month after 3 late 1st tri m/c. He said to me that we don't encourage multiples as it's not always safe and if we had any more than 2 big follicles we were not to proceed.
I would just listen to your doctor and go with what ever they say is right and safe for you, it's also how you and your husband feel about it too. Best of luck with your choice.

We decided to go forward with the IUI yesterday. First IUI ... so I was a little nervous but everything went well! They stressed again about multiples and brought up "selective reduction". This was the first time I've heard of it and not really sure I'm okay with it.
Overall I'm in good spirits and hoping for my scientific miracle to happen! Thanks ladies for your responses. It's nice to know others would have made the same decision as me.
