Could I have miscarried? Opinions please

This is going back two cycles ago. June's cycle I know I didn't ovulate but May's was a total nightmare. I had a 12 day cycle with very heavy bleeding and large clots. Anyway this has never happened before and on the day that AF showed I had intense cramping, heavy flow which woke me up at 2 in the morning. This continued on throughout the day until 4.30 in the afternoon and had to take the day off work. This continued on for 10 days, then on this day I passed what I thought was a smallish clot, but looking into the toilet (sorry if tmi) i saw what I can only describe as a floating baked bean and looked see through with bloody tissue around it. After this my period eased and then stopped after 12 days. Didn't ovulate last month, but did this month.

So my question is was this a miscarriage?
