Question

When do I go off my b/c if I want to try to conceive asap?

Ok.. I just started my birth control 3 weeks ago and I am so anxious about starting TTC that I want to try right after this pack of pills is gone. But I have PCOS and because of that I have irregular periods when off the pill.. Should I give it a couple months so that my cycle gets a little used to being regular or would it be ok for me to just come off the pill after 1 month and try for a baby?

Staying on the pill longer won't make your cycle any more regular than it would be naturally once you come off. If you are ready to start TTC, then finish this round of pills and you can start trying right away if you wish to. Some people recommend waiting one full cycle before trying after stopping the pill, but my Dr. said it was fine to try right away. Especially with PCOS it might take a while longer than "average" to conceive, so you might want to try ASAP.

Thank You soo much! I have heard of people that have waited a month or two after being off the pill and it took them longer than expected to get pregnant. Soo, I think I will take your advice and stop my b/c after taking the last seven brown pills in the pack. Thanks Soo Soo much! Your answer has really helped! Wish me Luck!!
