Do I have PCOS?!?!
Hi, I was just wondering if someone could help me. My cycles have been really long and irregular this year so far and I'm wondering if I might have PCOS. Could anyone tell me their own experience, like what made them aware of PCOS, symptoms and stuff? I've really struggled with my weight the past couple of years, and since stopping the pill last October my cycles have been very unpredictable with temps going up and down all over the place, I've got skin tags popping up more and more and I do get quite oily skin. My mum had trouble with her cycles when she was my age, her period completely stopped for years so she didn't even think she could get pregnant until it happened. I'm quite worried now, please someone tell me what you think!!!

Hi, I was suspected to have PCOS because of bilateral ovarian cysts and irregular cycles, but after further testing, my fertility specialist ruled it out. It does sound like you have a few of the symptoms so I would recommend you to speak to your doctor as soon as possible. All the testing takes a few cycles to get done, so you might as well start sooner rather than later if you are eager to start your family. PCOS is the most common reason for infertility and once it's diagnosed there are great treatment options. Best of luck to you!
