Clear positive opks but no ewcm?
I noticed I was actually producing less cm on the day I got my very clear positive opk. Is this normal? I think I've covered a wide range of days and I think I had the ewcm a couple days before my positive tests.
I don't temp yet because I had a go and wasn't very good at it. I'll try again next month I think though. I also got very sore breasts the day of my positive so I'm wondering how these two things link.
Thanks in advance ladies.

Its different for everyone and every cycle, but definitely normal! The days leading up to ur surge (and O) are when ur estrogen is increasing. Thats the hormone responsible for making the fertile cm, its also the hormone that surges before LH (signals LH to surge actually). So, ideally ur gonna have a few days of great cm, then depending how fast things start firing off in ur body, ur estrogen will surge and within hours to a cpl days, ur LH will surge (as estrogen declines). For some women it happens fairly close together so their O day tends to be the most fertile of cm, but not all are so lucky so O ends up being on a slightly less fertile or even completely infertile cm day. It really does vary per cycle tho, and diet/hydration makes all the difference as well. I wouldnt stress it, esp if u got lotsa bd'ing in when there was the good stuff...ur covered!! Now's a good time to practice temping. It wont tell u much but u can get in the habit.
Good luck! =))

Thanks dakotagurrl! You do such a great job answering people's questions on here and you really know a lot. I've noticed a little ewcm today.
I'll have a go at the temping whilst keeping my fingers crossed for this month. With the number of days I think we've covered I can't help but feel both nervous and excited.
Thank you. All the best to you.
