Question

Best tips for successful IVF???

Hi Ladies- will be starting my first IVF cycle in a little over a week after 2 failed IUI's, 1 failed clomid cycle. Excited to take the next step as success rates are much higher and looking for some real life tips to optimize the process. Any tips greatly appreciated! Do you give up wine completely, exercise, how do you de-stress, melatonin? aspirin?.????? Trying to filter the info overload I am running into.

Well, I have one daughter of my own conceived naturally... But I was recently a surrogate and did a frozen embryo transfer/IVF. My intended parents only had 1 embryo left after 2 egg retrievals, a bunch of miscarriages after IVF and even a surrogate before me who miscarried at 10 weeks. Their little bean took and was born a healthy 9lb 7oz baby girl. I drank raspberry tea, which helps the lining of the uterus, and I laid there for 20 minutes after they did the transfer to give the embryo a chance to settle in but after I took it easy for that day I went back to my normal routine. Do NOT do any sort of bed rest beyond the initial 1/2 hour or so. Some research has shown that bed rest is actually harmful during pregnancy and IVF success rates are lower when the embryologist has their patients do a 3 day or however long bed rest. You should go about your life as tho conceiving naturally. Lots of luck and may your little one enjoy their womb rental!
