What other option besides IVF?
In April, my husband has reversal vasectomy. We received the results of the semen analysis and it's 500k. Doctor told him to freeze due to not sure if it will increase/decrease later and for us to look into IVF. What else is out there? He was already taking GNC Fertility Blend for a month prior to analysis.

There are almost 10 ways on how to get pregnant. Artificial insemination, surrogacy and IVF are just few of those options you can choose from. However, IVF considered to be as high priced, you can have a chance for it, why not join Canada radio station 89.9, they have a games called â??Win a baby Contestâ?? where you can win free IVF treatment. Well the cheapest way is to get busy and keep your fingers crossed! Otherwise, artificial insemination is probably the cheapest way to go and then there is surrogacy. I was a surrogate and I know it is very expensive so if you are looking for a cheaper way, buy some OPKs, track your cycle and have sex as close to ovulation as possible. Preseed lubricant is awesome and can help more sperm survive the journey thru the cervix to the safety of the uterus and fallopian tubes. A lot of people conceive the first or second month of trying with preseed after several of trying without. And orgasm! It causes the vagina to produce fertile fluid like that around ovulation and again, helps more sperm make it to the egg. After sex elevate your hips and lay quiet for about 20 minutes if you can. Hope this helps!

We had a reversal too. Unfortunately, despite having great numbers for him, we were never able to achieve pregnancy. I am sure you are already doing this, but charting your ovulation is the most beneficial way to target fertility. If you are willing to go the medical route, I would first suggest asking your GYNO about Clomid. Even if you ovulate on your own, it increases your chances of producing quality eggs (think super eggs). However, Clomid is only safe for three cycles. Before moving on to IUI or IVF, I would get your DH's sperm checked for sperm antibodies (SA). These do not show up on a regular semen analysis, and if your DH has them, your only chances of getting pregnant would be through IUI or IVF. Good luck to you!

It's nice to read info on surrogacy which you shared. Thanks for your thoughts. I never thought I will ask for help in such question as surrogacy. I never thought I’ll face infertility because there was never such problem in my family. All women in our family have many children. My grandmother gave birth to 5 kids. My mom gave birth to 3 kids. Both of my sisters have children. My husband and I were ttc for 3 years and nothing. I thought that he had some problems with health. I didn’t even think that this is me who have problems with fertility! We tried literally everything. In last 6 years we had 5 cycles of ivf and 3 cycles of de ivf. Nothing gave result. All cycles failed. I’m so tired of all this. I hope thanks to this board I'll find answers and options. Girls, I wish you all the best. I'm so grateful to all of you who shared information!
