Family Practioner will most likely send you to an Ob/GYN. It's really not their place of expertise. When you go to a gyno, they can put you on clomid which will help you mature eggs in follicles. Yes, they will run blood tests, take ultrasounds. Sounds like you don't ovulate which could mean PCOS (Poly cystic Ovarian Syndrom) or you may have annovulary cycles meaning you don't release eggs. Take a deep breath, you made a step in the direction to conceive. Good Luck!

Ok so most likely i will be answering some questions monday but then he will refer me to the Ob/gyn, where they will run their tests and then make a decision on whats best for my TTC story?
If they should say i have PCOS or have annovulary cycles and they would put me on clomid what are the chances of me conceiving? :)

I'm in the same boat! I came off BC March 2013 and had a period in July, September, November, and March. After a year of trying I went on Provera to induce a period and took 50 mg of Clomid, 1st round did not ovulate, I'm currently finished taking Provera for the 2nd time and waiting for AF, and will take 100 mg of Clomid this time to see if I can ovulate. The 1st round I had two positive OPK tests so I think my body tried to ovulate but I never had a temp increase so I don't think I did. I haven't taken it any further but the Provera/Clomid is a good first step!

I used opks when i came off of bcp in october and i got a postive ( smiley face) on CD 27!! ( i was about to give up... but obviously that didnt work.
I am very anxious to see what my doctor says but most likely get a referral to an OB/Gyn.
what kind of tests did they do with you before they put you on provera/clomid? and whats the schedule like when you are on clomid? how often do they want you to come in?
