Chicken pox and pregnancy.. HELP!
Hey, so I am currently at 4-5 weeks pregnant, today I have just found out my daughter (2yearsold) has chicken pox, I have had them when I was younger but I am scared something could happened to the unborn child and their development!
Has anybody got any insight for me on this event? Anything will help to put my mind at rest/bay. Thank you!

DON'T WORRY! The same thing happened to me when I was 15 wks or so. My 37 year old hubby caught the chicken pox (seriously) and I was freaking out! However, my OB said that as long as I had the pox my unborn baby would be just fine. It is only if you come down with an active case of the pox yourself that there is a risk to your unborn child. You can relax! :)

Wow I didn't even expect a reply, this is amazing! Thank you all so much it has helped me to keep calm :) I did ring my gp to confirm it with him and he is going to send me for a blood test just to check if I am immune or not just to be on the safe side.
He said he had a case of when somebody was pregnant and their child had chicken pox the lady already had them but he did her blood also she wasn't immune so she had to have some injections and her baby was born perfect/healthy. So fingers crossed :) xxxxxxx
