Why shouldn't I use FMU for OPK?
Can someone shed some light on this theory for me? I've read that 1. LH won't be concentrated enough because the surge usually happens mid morning and 2. that LH is too concentrated in the FMU and will give false positives. I got a line his morning that looks almost positive, but negatives the rest of the day.

I'm not an expert, but this cycle I experimented a bit more. I use First Response OPK; and Clear Blue Easy Fertility (The one with high, peak etc). The system predicted ovulation 1 day apart from the two forms. As for OPK, I keep having to look on line to verify guidelines since the instructions with the box was insufficient. I had used it in the evenings sometimes, and it was less exact, then I read the requirements 'if you don't use FMU - not to drink to much liquid 2 hours before testing' etc. So since I could not follow those requirements, I stuck with SMU - I think it has provided me the best results. The instructions that come with the kit do not express it well enough. Online with the First response website I was able to get better details. Good Luck!
