potential miscarriage but hog keeps going up and down..??

I Oed 4/24 and started what i thought was AF on 5/8. light to med bleeding w/clots. temps dropped during this time but after 8 days of bleeding (AF is usually only 6-7) temps went back up and i continued to spot. for no reason, i had an urge to take a test on 5/17, BFP...??? confused.. called doc to get hcg draw. was at a 53 as of 5/19. bleeding picked up again and decided to go to er on 5/21. hcg draw was at a 27 and u/s tech said there was no sign of any pregnancy in my uterus. was told i was miscarrying due to drop in levels and the fact I've been bleeding for so long with clots at "AF". waited it out to stop bleeding.. did not. got a new doc. he wanted a draw to see what he was working with when i go in to my appt this friday. took that yesterday on 6/3 and it was a 105.....??? what the hell?... has anyone experienced this before? could i still be pregnant? but wouldn't this be way too low for i would be around 8 weeks pregnant. any thoughts, stories, opinions are welcom
