BFP Cd 14?!

Last month I began Chinese medicine i got my period on 19th April and although I had many pregnancy symptoms throughout the cycle AF arrived it on the 19th May - a perfect 30 day cycle.
Today I am day 14 and bought and ovulation kit, there was also a pregnancy test and i decided to take it - to my complete shock 2 dark pink lines appeared instantly..
How can it be that I am pregnant but got my period ? the cycle was different it was bright red, thin and watery and lasted 7 days
Has this happened to anyone else before?

Quite scared.. I want to be excited but have had an ectopic pregnancy 2 years ago and praying it isnt history repeating.
