Question

Did I ovulate?.

So, I had a really long period this cycle (12 days) but started opks at cd9, I'm now cd 28 and I've never had a positive . They all have faint lines and haven't really changed at all. Does this mean I didn't ovulate this cycle? My cycle length has been all over the place since going off the pill in January but last one was 28 days. I'm feeling kinda crampy today so I'm guessing af is coming :(

Hi :),

It is possible that you have missed your surge when you tested. Some have very short surges (12 hours or so) and other very long surges (2-3 days of positive opk). It is also possible that you had an annovulatory cycle (most women get them once in a while).

I've alway been affraid of missing my surge (although I have long ones) I test twice a day, this way, I know I won't miss it. Also, tracking your BBT, will tell you if you ovulated with an increase in temperature after O.

Good luck :)
