Short light periods am I ovulating?
I have always had very regular cycles which last 28-30 days. Using OPK's I have worked out my luteal phase is 12 days which is okay but my af only lasts three days at most. Two days of very light flow needing more than a pantyliner but not enough for a pad. Then one day of very light spotting.
Am I ovulating or is this normal?
I've never really paid attention much before but now we're TTC I can't help wondering.

I'm def no expert! I wish I had better info to answer your question but I also have very short af. Mine lasts 3 days tops and a bit of spotting. Mine are usually very light day1 and heavy for a day and medium the last. I do O every cycle as far as I can tell so far. I would recommend bbt temping if you really want to get down to if you REALLY do ovulate in a cycle. The opks are a good start and I use them myself but I can have up to 5 days of positives around ovulation so I chart so I can better pinpoint when ovulation actually occurs. If you think your last phase is 12 days long I would suggest bd every other day starting 4-5 days before presumed O and 4-5 after just to cover bases if you are uninterested in charting. Good Luck!!

The length of AF doesn't seem to matter as that varies from woman to woman. A LP defect would be more of an issue and with an LP of 12 days that is fine. The only way to know if you are ovulating is to track ovulation using BBTs or OPKs. Your cycle length and AF length have nothing to do with whether you are ovulating or not. Try using one of these methods next cycle. GL!
