What is the earliest you can take a test and which test is it?
I'm 5DPO and I have taken 2 and they both came back negative but I still have a lot of symptoms and I'm extremely anxious to find out and I don't know if I can wait till the 31st (when my next period is due). I want to be able to take one as soon as possible and it be accurate.

The very, very earliest a test will pick up a pregnancy is 9 dpo & those are rare. Most women don't get a + until 12 dpo at the earliest. The egg doesn't implant until 6-12 dpo, with 9 being avg. After implantation occurs, it takes a few days for hcg to reach your urine in detectable levels. Drs won't even do a blood test until 10-11 dpo. Save your $ & your tests, wait until right before AF. I know it's hard to wait, but eag923 is right, 5 dpo is EXTREMELY early. Implantation takes anywhere from 6-12 dpo and then it takes another few days for hcg levels to build up in your body. I never bothered to start testing until 12 dpo and I still got BFNs. For both my pregnancies, I got my BFPs at 14 dpo (which was the day AF is due). Just because a test is capable of determining pregnancy "6 days sooner" it doesn't mean that it will. It all depends on when you implant and there's no way to control that. If you want it to be accurate (which you mentioned), wait until AF is due. Of course, there's a possibility of getting a BFP sooner, but I would wait until at least 10-11 dpo to bother testing. GL!
