Miscarriage or not?
I had an ultrasound on May 07 and the sonographer said I was measuring a little over 6 weeks. I was told that no heartbeat could be detected even with color turned on to help locate a heartbeat/cardiac activity. I was very upset since I was diagnosed with a miscarriage on the spot. My doctor relieved the preliminary report from the hospital and ordered me to get bloodwork, one draw on Monday, may 12, and one draw on Wednesday, may 14 to check the levels of hcg in my blood. If there is no heartbeat I can pretty much guaruntee myself a miscarriage right? I haven't yet had any signs of a miscarriage; no bleeding or crampibg. I still "feel" pregnant. I still am nauseous and sensitive to smells and all that fun stuff. I'm not sure what to think. Please help

If you are not having symptoms of a miscarriage then I would stay positive and wait to see how your levels turn out after your blood work. I have seen several posts where women did not see or hear a heart beat at 6 weeks. Try not to stress and stay positive during your wait for your levels. Best luck to you

I miscarried at 11 weeks with twins. Even after I knew that I miscarried, I still felt pregnant and hopeful for another week when I was scheduled to have a second ultrasound to confirm miscarriage. I spent the whole week getting my hopes up. I was seriously let down and crashed hard! :( I continued to have symptoms for a even about a week after my DNC since the hormones were still going down.
