I wish I was of more help to you...(especially because I'm currently 14 DPO, or 10 DPO - my cycles vary and I am not 100% on my O date)...but so far I'm getting [bfn]. [sad] [unsure]
I HAVE read a lot about how most women don't seem to get their [bfp] until after their missed period. The only reason we see it on here a lot prior to that is probably because we're all crazies testing every day after 7 DPO! hahaha Most women don't notice their period hasn't come and so they have a lot of HCG when they test...and don't even know which DPO they are! lol What's that saying? Something about the pot never boiling when you're watching it or something..hahaha
