How do you check your cervix? I know that when my dr does it sh has a thing and a magnifier to do it so how do you do it at home?

I usually sit on the toilet to check my cervix. I just insert a finger, feel how high up the cervix is along with if my cervix is closed or open (sometimes the cervix is tilted upwards so I can't tell) and at that time I also check my cervical mucous.
