Trace of brown discharge at 6 weeks. I had a miscarriage in Nov - how likely is it to happen again?
I am 41 and after a miscarriage on November we have been trying ever since. SO thrilled to be 6 weeks 3 days pregnant now. But I am so scared of a miscarriage or missed miscarriage. I have had the tiniest trace of brown discharge ( I wouldn't have even noticed) if I hadn't had a panty liner in. It's scared me though. On probability does anyone know how likely it is to happen again or what I can do to prevent it please?
Thank you so much

Have you already had your ultrasound for checking the heartbeat? I have read that the chances of a reoccurring miscarriage are very small ( less than 3 %). While this is a reassuring fact I would call the dr's office with your concern. They might want to do a progesterone test and an ultrasound now. Miscarriages that early cannot be prevented as far as I know. I suffered 6 miscarriages, 3 of them were consecutive losses . I was then diagnosed with the Antiphospholipid syndrome which can be treated with blood thinners. Also, advanced maternal age is a risk factor connected to miscarriages. I would not worry right now too much. Watch your symptoms and call the dr's office to let them know about your concerns. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

Don't be afraid of ultrasounds or any kind of testing. In my mind it is far better to do that than to languish in the unknown. At least this has been my experience. Do trust in the Lord and in His plan for your life - then everything will be fine, for certain. The very, very best wishes.

Hello all,
Just to update you and get thoughts please as I'm still worrying .. The brown discharge stopped at the start of this week and I am now 8 weeks and1 day. I don't really feel pregnant though I have a small belly bump
and my partner says he thinks my breasts are a bit bigger but I am not convinced! Not had any more blood tests and scan is in a week. I am so scared though that - like last time - it will be a missed miscarriage with no heartbeat. Does anyone know how likely this is to happen in two consecutive pregnancies? Thank you lots
