What's the best pregnancy test to take 3 days before your expected period?
For early results, I've read everywhere FRER is the way to go. Is three days too much for the digital tests to measure? I'd like the certainty of a digi, but I've read the weeks estimator one sometimes gives false positives. That or they don't pick it up nearly as early. What's been your experience?

First response doesnt mean it DOES forsure pick up before missed period, it just means it CAN. I would NEVER waste money on expensive tests tho. If you do your research, even cheap tests are literally JUST as accurate as expensive/name brand tests. I used the $1 ones from dollar general. they have the same exact tests at walmart for 88cents in the 88cent aisle NOT the pregnancy test aisle. and they have similar tests at dollar tree for $1. ALLLL of these tests I have mentioned have a MIU/HCG of 25, and that is exactly what the name brand/expensive tests have, like First Response. I did A LOT of research and they are just as accurate. I even tested it and they are. I kept using the $1 cheapy's then took 1 first response and the test line on the cheapy's was actually darker and more pronounced than the line on the first response. Like I said, I would NEVER waste money on expensive tests, not worth it. They have NOTHING that the cheap tests don't have.

(sorry my comment cut off) But I would recommend NOT using blue dye tests. Stick to the pink/purple dye tests. I have researched a lot about blue dye tests and they are just not good. They give A LOT of evaps and their evaps have color so it is just like getting a false positive. And it happens VERY often. Pink/purple dye tests are the way to go. ALSO, you're right, digital tests do have a higher MIU/HCG which means you need more HCG in your system for them to detect and read out as positive. I would just stay away from those. They usually only work wellll after you've had a missed period. They usually have a 50 MIU, which is way higher than the standard tests that have 25 MIU. Hope this helped! have any questions, feel free to message me :) I'm always here to help! I know a lottt about this stuff haha GOOD LUCK!!! :)

You know, I said this wrong. I'msupposed to have my period in 3 days, not 3 days ahead of expected date. Anywho. Yes, I've read that, but I've also read that FRER has detected as low as 9 hcg. So I was wondering from other's personal experiences. Thanks for letting me know where, when I was there last I couldn't find them and the worker I asked was also clueless. xD

I didn't get to complete my answer bc my 2 yr old threw my phone in the toilet, so I got distracted! Anyhow . . . after taking the frer at 5PM, I also took one of the .88 tests from Wal Mart. I got a positive one on that as well, however, the line wasn't as obvious as the frer and you really had to look to see the line (I used the same urine sample that I used with the frer). With my first pregnancy, I took a digi the day before my missed period and got a "pregnant." I have heard that the digital tests are not as sensitive as the line tests, so you may want to take that into consideration before you test.
