Question

Ovulation investigation..........

I am new to all of this and have been tracking by BBT for about 2months using an app called Kindara.

I just feel like my body is giving me mixed messages and I'm wondering if anyone here can give me any pointers. It's hard to find advice that I can relate too on other forums, because being a lesbian and getting frozen sperm makes it a little more complicated that "doing the deed every other day for a wk...

So i had positive tests for my LH Surge on CD12 and 13, but my CM was not the "egg white" stuff that seems to correlate with ovulation. (that arrived in CD22)... BUT my temp shifted on CD15 from 97.03 to 98.06 (the app indicating that this was my most fertile day). So, my partner and I did IUI at home... but my temp shifted again on CD20! from 97.08 to 98.31 on CD21.. today i am having cramping in my side and back, which usually happens every month, which i usually assume is related to ovulation. No my temp this morning is 97.74, but my "average temp" i

It sounds to me like you ovulated on CD14. This would be based on your positive LH tests on CD 12 & 13 and then your spike in temp on CD15. Remember your spike happens AFTER ovulation, so doing your insemination after ovulation is not ideal. Healthy sperm can live 2-3 days inside you (I'm not sure if this is reduced when frozen?, but an egg only lives 12-24 hours.

Having said that, it would really help to see your chart. Can you add the data in on this site or post a pic? For you temp to shift again on CD20 from 97.08-98.31 means that it must have gone down past your coverline after the original spike, which disagrees with my original theory of CD14. Unless CD20 was an implantation dip which is possible if you did ovulate on CD14. Sorry that was a bit of a ramble, but it would help to see your chart and know your average cycle length.

Hmm, this is the first I'm hearing about the "implantation dip." I will see if I can figure out how to post the temp chart! Thanks so much for your input- oh and frozen sperm only lives for about 24 hours as I understand it...
