I have never taken clomid, - I take Femara instead. Femara gives you less side effects than clomid. They include headaches, hot flashes and mood swings. I have heard that clomid can thin your uterine lining whereas Femara does not. If you are concerned, talk to your doctor about using Femara instead of clomid. It is equally effective and has less side effects. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

I'm on clomid, and just about to start my 3rd cycle of 50mg-days 2-6 of my cycle. I haven't really experienced much side effects from it at all! The only thing was that my period was 4 days late last cycle.... Then was pretty painful when it came! However just started period again today and it's bang on time and not really painful at all. It's natural to be nervous but I'm sure you'll be ok!! All the best!! Bec

i didnt have very much side effects. if anything i was imagining them happening. just slight pain during ovulation (which is good cause you know your ovulating). i had one or two dizzy spells but honestly its not bad at all, and i just kept telling myself i need to do this for future baby. good luck xx

I did 7 cycles on clomid. First four I just had hotflashes at night in the follicular phase, then fantastic progesterone cause some pregnancy-type symptoms in the luteal phase. When The dose was increased to 100mg in the last three cycles I had quite a lot of pain the the few days leading up to ovulation, but I assume that was good follicular development so took it as a good sign! None of it was really a big deal. IVF drugs would be worse! (We are heading towards that later this year).

I was on 100mg and really the only side effect I noticed was the hot flashes. I did have pretty good ovulation cramping though ..... but that was good

I had no side effects from clomid (other than having 4 mature follicles and it thinning my lining too much for them to be useful).

I had 50mg clomid. Had crazy hot flash that would come and go and a painful but bearable ovulation. My lower abdominal continued to feel tender after ovulation.

Thank you Ladies so much! I feel so much better! Tonight is my last night of Provera and I'm already cramping A LOT so I'm sure my period will start in the next couple of days and then I'll start the clomid!
