Clearblue Advanced Digital Ovulation test....how accurate are the peak readings?
My cycles range anywhere from 28-36 days. This is our fifth month TTC (one month being a chemical). 2 months I used this digital ovulation test and both months I got my peak reading on CD 14. Both of those cycles were my 28 day cycles. Also, right after I ovulate, my breasts become very sore- usually a day or so following. Last month I did not use an ovulation test and it ended up being a 36 day cycle for me. I am assuming I ovulated around CD 23 (because of my breast soreness). So this cycle I decided to use the ovulation test again and started testing on CD10. First day was low fertility, second was high fertility (blinking smily), then third was peak (solid smily). I waited three days and still no sore breasts. So I tried using the digital test again (yesterday) and got a solid smily (peak). I thought once you got the peak reading you were supposed to ovulate within 12-36 hours. I am very confused! Now I am CD 18 and no sore breasts still. Does anyone have any insight??

I have used the same OPK before. I think you will see the blinking smiley because of rising estrogen levels and you get the solid smiley because of the rise of LH that precedes ovulation. But that does not necessarily mean that you will ovulate. If you keep a temperature chart you can actually confirm that you ovulated . I had gotten a solid smiley before without ovulation following - instead 3 days later my bloodtest at the dr's office confirmed that ovulation was still to come. This was later clearly shown on my BBT chart. Best wishes.

I used both clear blue easy opks at the same time, the one that tells you the best four days (blinking and solid happy face) and the best two days( single solid smiley). According to my calculations, I was expecting to ovulate the week after I got the solid smiley on both tests, I never got a blinking one. To my surprise, I got a smiley the morning after my wedding night. Hubby and I BD for three nights after and now I am an estimated 15 days post ovulation and I'm pregnant. I got my first faint positive on my 9th day post ovulation.I don't know if my info helps, but they both worked for me.
