I had my hsg done on cd9. They recommend to have it done before cd10 but I guess it would really depend on your cycle and when you ovulate. I personally did not have any luck cincieving after having this done. You shouldnt need any pain meds but just in case take a Tylenol an hour before. I had a cramp that only lasted a couple secs while they were trying to get everything ready up there lol.

I had mine CD11 and I O 13-15. I took two Advil prior. I had it done in January and we just conceived now. I've also been on Clomid and progesterone.

i took painkillers before hand. was pretty painless for me, my tubes were clear though. i could barely feel the cramp when the dye went in and was literally over within minutes. its not so bad. best of luck, my advice s to try relax so your muscles are not tense it will help xx

thank you everyone for your advice update on the hsg everything look perfectly normal and clear according to the dr i did however feel a massive contraction like cramp that lasted about 2 min thinking it unblocked something? lol then it was over followed with minor spotting till today (was done yesterday afternoon) and slight cramping wanted to know when to BD? as i normally O late..between cd 19-25
