Do you have to ovulate to get AF?
This probably sounds like a dumb question. But when I googled it some people said yes and some said no. I get AF around the same time each month, but I haven't completely kept track of ovulation so im wondering, is there any need to worry about not ovulating if I always have AF? I always thought if you have your period you definitely ovulated. Thanks ladies.

Ok! So, you don't have to ovulate in order to have a period. Having a period is your body's biological way of showing that pregnancy has not occurred. Question though...If you haven't been keeping up with ovulation or taking opks, then how do you know if you do or do not ovulate?

If you have regular cycles, odds are you are regularly ovulating. It is very common to have cycles where you don't ovulate, however. You may be a little late or you may have a "weird" period that month. But for the most part, if you have a regular cycle then you are probably ovulating. You can always use opk & temp if you want to confirm.

And that is the exact reason I usually don't use opks. We baby dance frequently just because you never know. And I don't wanna waste tons of money on opks. I don't think they are that reliable, for me anyway. And that's why I asked this question, because I got to thinking even though my cycle is regular, maybe I'm not ovulating because I'm not getting a bfp, even tho its only been four months since my m/c. It took a year to get a bfp for that pregnancy, but a year and a half for my first pregnancy which also ended in mc. I took a year break in between the two. Thank you Eag.
