Pregnancy tests are best taken the day of your missed period or 14dpo. If you have regular cycles then you would have ovulated 14 days before your expected period. Many women chart temperatures daily to estimate ovulation or you can by ovulation tests. While some ladies get positive pregnancy tests very early at 8 or 9 dpo, the most common time to get a positive is 13dpo.
