Question

Sometimes, patience is necessary... but, I am a female and it's hard for me.

Well, here's another post about a girl wondering if she is in fact, pregnant. The inter-webs are full of them. My heart goes out to each and every one of them (you). I had a miscarriage in early December 2013 and it was devastating. We have been trying since my first normal cycle in January (2014) to try again with no avail. For my current cycle, my lmp started on March 14, 2014, ovulated on March 31 (confirmed by OPK). I had some minor cramping on April 10th and 11th, figuring af would show her face right on time. Today is 16dpo, and bfns are aplenty. Trying to be positive and tell myself that it is still possible that I'll end up with a bfp, but hope is slowly fading. I know there are plenty of other people out there going through the same thing. How are you guys handling this?

I am in the same boat almost. 16DPO cycle day 31 of 29 I am nervous to say... and I am out of tests and yet to pickup any more. I am afraid to say it or get some for fear of jinxing myself, my earlier tests I took were neg or error-ed out so no definitive answer.

I had 6 miscarriages and a blighted ovum but still ended up with four healthy children. My fertility journey lasted 25 years so far and we are still trying for one more. How does one handle it? With patience, prayer, maybe support groups. It took a major effort and a long time for any of our children to be conceived. The first one took 13 years. I am writing all this to give you hope in the bigger picture. Don't give up. This is a challenge but a great opportunity for personal growth. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.

I had a stillbirth at 31 weeks about 2 months ago. Patience for the next baby is not something I have at all. So I understand your post to a tee! I been tracking my cycle now with a clear blue fertility monitor . It was recommended by my specialist after losing our son. This is my first cycle using it, sadly I don't think I am getting my BFP my first month using it ( like all the reviews claimed). However, I do believe it works and was worth the money. But reason I bought it was because my specialist told me if I don't conceive using it within the next 6 months she will put on clomid to help us conceive faster because she understands the empty arm feeling I am now having. I'm not sure if this is something that can be offered to you, but its worth checking into. But as for as patience, pray and pray some more. Prayer is the only thing giving my peace and the strength to not be afraid to be pregnant again.

Lakenmarie, Your doctor recommends clomid for you so will conceive faster. Is there any other reason why he recommends it for you? I know clomid comes with a lot of side effects including thinning of the uterine lining....My doctor prefers to prescribe Femara/letrozole which has fewer side effects and is equally if not more effective. If I were you I would consider this. Also, I have been using Femara for the last 8 months because of my age (47). If I were younger I would avoid using any fertility treatment. There is a price to be paid, and I don't mean money. Best wishes and the Lord's blessings.
