Pregnant with #2 and scared I wont love this child as much as I love my first.. :(
Has anyone ever gone through this before? It just feels weird knowing I'm going to have another one and I love my first born tremendously and don't want anything to ever get in the way of that. I am feeling extremely emotional and scared I want to love my 2nd sooo much but I'm afraid my love for him won't be the same... any assurance and guidance on the subject will be much appreciated

memberYou will love your second child equally, trust me. I have four children and there is enough love for every child, no one feels left out. And they love each other despite some little quibbles here and there. Don't be afraid, it will be a wonderful experience for your firstborn as well, sharing laughing, crying and growing up together . I went through the same thing! I was terrified I wouldn't love #2 as much as #1. Well, #2 was born almost 6 weeks ago via c section and the SECOND I heard that cry, it was like I was punched in the gut. I fell in love immediately. Your love doesn't divide, it multiplies. Loving your 2nd is nothing to worry about. It happens naturally. Congrats! :)
